Every rescue, every TNR operation, every feeding run is powered by volunteers like you. There's a role for every schedule, every skill set, and every level of commitment.
Find Your Role
Whether you have a few hours a month or can commit to a regular schedule, there's a meaningful role for you at NCO Rescue.
Flexible — 2 to 8 weeks per cat
Open your home to cats in need of temporary care. Foster caregivers provide a safe, loving environment for cats recovering from illness, surgery, or trauma — and for kittens who need socialization before adoption. We provide all supplies, food, and veterinary care.
Weekend evenings, as available
Help us humanely manage feral cat populations through Trap-Neuter-Return. TNR volunteers assist with setting and monitoring traps, transporting cats to and from vet appointments, and returning cats to their colonies. Training is provided.
Daily or alternate days
Maintain feeding stations in your neighborhood for community cats. Feeders provide consistent food and fresh water, monitor colony health, and report any cats in need of medical attention. This is one of our most impactful volunteer roles.
Weekends, event-based
Support our adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach. Event volunteers help set up, manage cat meet-and-greets, answer questions from potential adopters, and represent NCO Rescue in the community.
As needed, flexible
Help us get cats where they need to go — from rescue sites to vet clinics, from foster homes to adoption events. Transport volunteers are essential to keeping our rescue operations running smoothly.
Remote, flexible hours
Help us tell the stories of our rescues and grow our community online. Social media volunteers create content, share updates, and help us reach more potential adopters and donors across Orange County.
