Your Privacy
Privacy Policy
NCO Rescue is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3). This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or send us a message, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Information You Give Us
When you use our Contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number if you include one, the subject, and your message. When you apply through our Volunteer form we receive your name, email, phone, the role you are interested in, your relevant experience, and your availability.
We use that information for one purpose: to answer you and to organize the rescue, fostering, veterinary, or adoption work it relates to. We do not sell or rent it.
Information Collected Automatically
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It tells us that a visit happened, which pages were viewed, which ad or post brought the visitor here, and basic browser and device details. Meta may associate that activity with a Facebook or Instagram account.
We use it to count visitors, to see which posts and ads actually bring help to the cats, and to show future rescue campaigns to people who are likely to care. We do not send Meta your name, email address, or phone number.
The same measurement also happens from our own server (Meta's Conversions API): the event is sent once from your browser and once from our server, with a shared reference so Meta counts it only once. The server copy carries the same technical signals — page address, browser details, and IP address — and no personal information from our forms.
Visitors in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are not measured by the Meta Pixel while our consent choice is being put in place.
Donation payments are handled on Stripe's own secure page. Card numbers are never seen or stored by NCO Rescue.
You can limit this measurement in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, in your browser's cookie settings, or with a "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out where your state offers one.
Who Helps Us
A small number of service providers keep this site running: hosting and database, email delivery, Stripe for donations, and Meta for the measurement described above. They act on our behalf and are not permitted to sell your information.
How Long We Keep Information
Messages and volunteer applications stay on file while the matter is open — a rescue in progress, a foster match, an adoption follow-up — and afterwards as long as our records require. Ask us and we will delete yours.
Your Rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or Brazil, you have additional rights, including the right to object to certain processing. Email info@ncorescue.org and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date above.
